"We had two bags of grass, seventy-five pellets of mescaline, five sheets of high-powered blotter acid, a salt shaker half full of cocaine and a whole galaxy of multicolored uppers, downers, screamers, laughers...also a quart of tequila, a quart of rum, a case of budweiser, a pint of raw ether, and two dozen amyls...but the only thing that worried me was the ether. There was nothing in the world more helpless and irresponsible than a man in the depths of an ether binge..."

radio-active child, painting her body with different colors

(photos by my photographer/friend Victoria Schwartz, random bathing suit top and cut up tights on the bottom)

The sky is grey, but people like you and me we light sparks everywhere. Sparks grow into wild bushfires that give the illusion of a sunny day when in reality storms prey on our rooftop. Driving away what we chose to ignore. Singing away all that ruins our image of a perfect day, a perfect instant. Because all it really takes is that one perfect moment. One perfect moment to make you realize that life is a high. Life is a high that can take you to the moon. I’m going to thank life by making art, making love and making peace.
